Cobalt Long Series Drill Bits (HSS-Co)
Cobalt Long Series Drill Bits
This unique range of Cobalt long drill bits are designed to cater for all engineers drilling needs and offer a solution to all drilling problems where other drills cannot cope or stand up to modern manufacturing speeds and methods.
Cobalt HSS-Co Long Series drills are primarily for drilling in the following materials:
For the suitability of the drill in the aforementioned materials, please see our catalogue
- Alloyed and Non alloyed Steel up to 1000N/mm2
- Soft and Hard Stainless Steel
- Soft Cast Iron
- Brass and Bronze
Phantom: A range of HSS-Co drills bits that offer benchmark quality, precision ground drill bits that maintain precise diameters, thus leaving precision tolerances in drilled holes. Not only are Phantom HSS-Co drills precise, they also last longer under production conditions, excavate swarf quicker and feature a ‘split point’ or ‘self centring’ tip.
The Phantom Drill Catalogue is available for download to check the suitability of the drill bit for specific metals, here you can also check the speeds and feed rates (Please allow a few minutes for the catalogue to download). Please use the contact form or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding the Phantom Drill Bit range, our staff are always on hand to give you any expert advise you require.

Phantom PCD HSS-Co. Our HSSE-Co (Cobalt) long series drills have a point angle of 135° with a split point (self centring). The addition of Co facilitates higher cutting speeds and feeds. Co extends tool life as well. These drills are ideal for drilling stainless steel.
Product Code: 11.870
Phantom PHD HSSE-CO drills have a strong spiral angle, a 130° angle point, a split point (self centring) up to 3mm and from 3.1mm an 'S' shaped grinding. This drill was specifically developed for use in production lines.
Product Code: 11.874
Phantom PHD HSSE-Co. The TiAIN coated HSSE-Co drills have a 130° point angle, a split point (self centring) up to 3mm and from 3.1mm an 'S' shaped grinding. Due to their TiAIN coating (which reduces friction) they can handle even higher cutting speeds and higher feed rates, drastically shortening your drilling times.
